Loretto is a city in Hennepin County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 650 at the 2010 census.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.29 square miles (0.75 km), all of it land. County Roads 11 and 19 are two of the main routes. Nearby places include Medina, Maple Plain, Independence, Greenfield, and Corcoran.
As of the census of 2010, there were 650 people, 269 households, and 168 families residing in the city. The population density was 2,241.4 inhabitants per square mile (865.4/km). There were 278 housing units at an average density of 958.6 per square mile (370.1/km). The racial makeup of the city was 98.6% White, 0.3% African American, 0.3% from other races, and 0.8% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.2% of the population.
There were 269 households of which 34.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.2% were married couples living together, 7.8% had a female householder with no husband present, 1.5% had a male householder with no wife present, and 37.5% were non-families. 30.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 11.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.42 and the average family size was 3.10.
The median age in the city was 39.9 years. 24.6% of residents were under the age of 18; 7.4% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 25.5% were from 25 to 44; 30.2% were from 45 to 64; and 12.2% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the city was 50.3% male and 49.7% female.
