Akeley is a city in Hubbard County, Minnesota, USA. The population was 432 at the 2010 census.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.50 square miles (3.88 km), of which 1.47 square miles (3.81 km) is land and 0.03 square miles (0.08 km) is water.
As of the census of 2010, there were 432 people, 185 households, and 113 families residing in the city. The population density was 293.9 inhabitants per square mile (113.5/km). There were 242 housing units at an average density of 164.6 per square mile (63.6/km). The racial makeup of the city was 94.9% White, 0.2% African American, 2.1% Native American, 0.9% Asian, and 1.9% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.2% of the population.
There were 185 households of which 27.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 36.2% were married couples living together, 13.0% had a female householder with no husband present, 11.9% had a male householder with no wife present, and 38.9% were non-families. 28.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 16.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.34 and the average family size was 2.85.
The median age in the city was 41 years. 23.6% of residents were under the age of 18; 7.6% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 22.9% were from 25 to 44; 29% were from 45 to 64; and 16.9% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the city was 51.4% male and 48.6% female.

Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.21% of the population. 47.4% were of German, 13.5% Norwegian, 6.2% French, 5.9% Irish, 5.3% Finnish and 5.3% Swedish ancestry according to Census 2000.
